On February 24, 2020, a demonstration of the film “Until the Last Breath” and a meeting with the creative team was held at Khazar University’s Marble Hall. Opening the meeting, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, the Head of the Department of Languages and Literature, talked about the events of February 26, 1992, when Armenian occupiers committed an unprecedented genocide, a brutal massacre against the Azerbaijani people. She emphasized that this genocide being a bloody page of the purposeful radical policy targeting the country’s independence, territorial integrity, was also a large-scale crime against not only our people, but also the entire humanity.
Then the film “Until the Last Breath” based on real events was shown. According to Nuraddin Aslanov, screenwriter and chief producer of the film, one of the original aspects of the film is that it covers the period from the early stages of the Karabakh war to the Khojaly genocide. The following actors were starring in the film: Ilgar Jahangir, Eldar Baghirbeyov, Ilgar Musayev, Vugar Valikhanov, Elshan Rustamov, Ulviyya Rza, Elchin Efendi, Namis Shirmammadov, Rovshan Kerimduht, Taleh Yuzbeyov, Novruz Jafarov, Vagif Karimov and others.
After the film demonstration, Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, noted the great need for such films to convey the realities of the Karabakh conflict to present and future generations and thanked everyone who contributed to making the film. Speaking at the event, Director of Public Relations and Media, Alovsat Amirbeyli, noted that such films on patriotism play a positive role in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and thanked those who contributed.
At the end of the event, the creative team exchanged views with students about the Karabakh realities.
