On February 21, 2020, the Roundtable of the “Debates in the Civil Society” Public Union’s Board of Directors was organized with the students at Khazar University. The Roundtable was organized to discuss the work envisaged in connection with conducting the debates.
The meeting was attended by Khazar University Career Development Coordinator, representatives of the “Debates in the Civil Society” and Debate Club’s students.
Let us note that the main purpose of establishing the Roundtable is to help students of the Debate Club speak freely at public, improve their communication skills, forming the skills and habits in conveying their ideas in a proper way, supporting networking with students from other universities, and evaluating the opportunities of working together as a team.
During the meeting, Ulviyya Akhundova, Chair of the “Debates in the Civil Society”, conducted an effective exchange of ideas on the future activities of the National Debate Program, the activities of the Union and work to be delivered within the new projects, the proposals made for the action plan and the project format, and issues concerning identification of persons who will lead the debate clubs at the universities.
At the end of the meeting, the students' suggestions were evaluated, their questions were answered and the event was finalized.
