On February 7, 2020, an instructor and PhD student from Khazar University's Department of Psychology participated in the second round of the “Enhancing Employability Skills of People with Disabilities” Project (EESPWD), implemented by the British Council, funded by BP and its partners. The project, supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, was attended by the representatives from various companies and universities such as - ASPU, Gilan Holding, DOST Agency, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Labor Inspection, Employment Centers, Azerbaijan Psychologists Association, BP, who held discussions on employment issues of persons with disabilities, the problems encountered in this area, legislative awareness, current situation, works implemented and results in this field, considering the companies' experience and recommendations in this area, as well as deliberating on establishing communication platform for creating networking opportunities between companies and ministries, employment departments.
Nilufar Alizade, who provided information about Khazar University's work in this field, including information on the activities and opportunities for people with disabilities to study at the University, was selected as an instructor to facilitate professional training during the second phase of the project.
