On December 6, 2019, the freshmen of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences met with Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, at Fikrat Amirov Conference-Concert Hall of Khazar University.
The meeting began with demonstration of a documentary about the life and activities of Professor Hamlet Isakhanli. Then, accompanied by the University's Chamber Orchestra, directed by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of Music and Fine Arts Department, honored teacher, professor, pianist, Rasima Seyidjahan sang the song “Baku” written by Hamlet Isakhanli and composed by Nailakhanim Isayeva. University's dance group presented the composition prepared by teacher Sabina Ismayilova to the song “Lala” which is written by Hamlet Isakhanli and composed by Nailakhanim Isayeva.
When Professor Hamlet Isakhanli was given word, the students applauded the Founder of the University they had chosen. In his extensive speech, Professor spoke about the scientific activities of Khazar University, distinguishing it from other institutions of higher education in the country, telling about interesting and instructive points of life for students, giving them recommendations and answering their questions.
At the end, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Elza Samadova, spoke about the importance of the meeting for the students and thanked Professor Hamlet Isakhanli.
