On October 18, 2019, Abubakari Yushawu, a second-year master student from Khazar University, delivered a lecture for undergraduate students, majoring in Finance at the “Education in the Digital World” conversation club, Azerbaijan University.
Abubakari Yushawu, a citizen of the Republic of Ghana, has been studying at Khazar University since 2018, majoring in management in education. Prior to that, he had the opportunity to gain experience in countries like America and Scotland.
During the lecture, organized by Valida Karimova, Instructor at the University of Azerbaijan, and Khazar University PhD student (candidate), dedicated to “Education in the Digital World,” A.Yushawu gave very extensive information, focusing primarily on the organization of education in the modern age, reforms being implemented in this area, youth interest in education, etc. The most interesting content for the students during the course of the conversation club was A.Yushawu's explanation of the organization of comparative education. Thus, A.Yushawu was able to attract the attention of the audience by comparing the subject programs offered by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Ghana and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in comparative form of preschool education, college and university education.
The second-year undergraduate students majoring in Finance, Associate Professor Samira Mammadova, Head of Foreign Languages Department, and instructors of this Department - Associate Professor Rena Karimova and Valida Karimova Ph.D. (c.) talked about the educational opportunities available to students at Azerbaijan University, in order to provide information for the guest lecturer. During the course of the lecture, he also provided a detailed information about his educational experiences in several foreign countries.
At the end of the interactive lecture, A.Yushawu answered questions from students and teachers of the conversation club and thanked them for organizing the lecture.
