On October 8, 2019, the exhibition “The Relations between the Ottoman state and Azerbaijani Khanates in Documents” was opened at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. The exhibition was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, the General Directorate of the State Archives under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art and the Baku Yunus Emre Institute. The exhibition displays copies of 30 official documents, including letters, orders, decrees and gift presentations between the Ottoman state and the khanates of Azerbaijan, covering the period from 1713 until the middle of the 19th century, retained at the General Directorate of the State Archives under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Turkey.
Professor of Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, took part in the opening of the exhibition and gave an interview to ARB TV, sharing his impressions about the exhibition.
