On June 17-21, 2019, Asaf Omarov, Head of Natural Sciences Department at Khazar University visited the University of Bologna, Italy within the Erasmus+ program.
On June 17, Asaf Omarov met with Sara Piersigilli, the employee of the International Office of the University, and she provided and information on the international projects of the University of Bologna.
On June 18, Khazar University’s Department Director with Diogo Bucci, Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology, visited University's Human Anatomy Museum, exchanged views with the Faculty members.
On June 19, Asaf Omarov delivered a lecture for the PhD students on “Research of antibiotic-resistant strains” conducted at Khazar University's Life Sciences Department, and exchanged views with students. On the same day he met with Professor Giampiero Pagliuca, Head of the Department of Chemistry of Toxicology, exchanged views on international projects. Khazar University’s fellow got acquainted with the methods and equipment used to determine the toxic, chemical, antibiotic residues in nutrients, listened to the information on the working principles of those equipment.
On June 20, Asaf Omarov, shared ideas with Alexandra Cesare, Agricultural and Food Laboratory Officer, on the study of soil bacteria, designs for PZR, collaborative joint projects, joint work in the field of food safety, etc. exchanged views on the issue. On the same day he also got acquainted with the Innovative Farm of the Bovine Veterinary Faculty of the University.
On June 21, Asaf Omarov, being accompanied with Professor Anna Zaghini, Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, visited the Anatomical and Pathological Anatomy Museum of the Faculty and concluded his visit.
