From June 17 to June 21, 2019, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, and Javid Ojagi, Associate Professor at Life Sciences Department, took part in the International Workers Week, held within the framework of Erasmus + Project at the University of Cadiz, Spain. Alongside with organized lectures, presentations, campus tours, the program included the provision of detailed information for the participants on research projects carried out at the University of Cadiz and various grants received by the University. During the event, Khazr University representatives met with Professor Juan Carlos García Galindo, Director General of the International Affairs Office of the University of Cadiz, and discussed issues of students and staff exchange, joint scientific supervisor programs, joint grants, dual diplomas and a number of other issues.
Nearly 100 participants from 45 universities of 21 countries shared their experiences with others at this event.
At the same time, a meeting was held with Khazar University’s PhD student Moozhan Serpoush, who is taking part in the exchange program within the Erasmus + Program at the University of Cadiz. On June 17, Moozhan Serpoush delivered a report on “Studying Genetic Diversity in Azerbaijan Wild and Cultivated Barley Accession by Molecular Markers” at the Cadiz Biomedical Research and Innovation Institute (INIBICA). The seminar was attended by Professor Francisco Jose Garcia Cozar, the Director of the Institute, as well as post-doctoral and PhD students.
