On July 5, 2019, the last meeting of Khazar University’s Academic Council was held. At the meeting chaired by the Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, Rector of the University, the issues included in the agenda were discussed.
Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, delivered speech concerning the elaboration of the proposals by the University on the new opportunities, created in accordance with the “Regulation on the Guidelines of Granting Scientific Degrees”, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 11, 2019.
Fakhrande Alimardanova, Vice-Dean of the School of Sciences and Engineering, Ceyhun Mammadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Elza Samedova, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, provided information on the graduates.
The information on PhD students and their thesis topics, approval from supervisors, and major changes, provided by Jabir Mammadli, the Coordinator of the Division of Graduate Studies and Research, followed by the reports by PhD students, was listened out and questions were answered.
Professor Mahammad Nuriyev spoke about the outcomes of the 2018/2019 academic year and the challenges ahead in the 2019/2020 academic year.
Relevant decisions were made on the issues discussed.
Current issues were also discussed at the meeting.
