An article by Elza Samedli, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Khazar University, entitled “Analysis of Azerbaijani Students' PIRLS-2016 Results” was published in the first 2019 issue of the “Azerbaijan Mektebi” Journal. In this study, which is part of the “Evaluation” section, the author characterizes Azerbaijan's participation in PIRLS international assessment exams (study of reading and comprehension achievement in high school students) again in 2016 and the involvement of teachers by the Ministry of Education to pursue advanced training courses in this direction, as a very commendable outcome.
