On May 17, 2019 Aysel Alizadeh, the poet, writer, publicist, translator, holder of the “Adabiyyat adami” award, established by the Creative Foundation of Azerbaijan, was a guest of Creative Writing Lesson at Khazar University. After Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, instructor of the Department of Languages and Literature, made an opening statement, student Pinar Mammadzade made a presentation on creativity of literary scholar. Following that the participants of the open lesson listened to a lecture by Aysel Alizade on “Genres and Literary Trends. Modernism, Postmodernism, Metamodernism”. “There is no art where there is no freedom”, said Alizade during a discussion and delivered a brief talk about James Augustin Aloizius Coysun, the Irish modernist writer and poet, and novelties he brought upon romance writing and thus invoked “to create new literature by creative writers”. She also had an interactive discussion with the students - Farida Hasanli, Sadig Mirzayev, Sugra Aliyeva, as well as listened to the views of Nazrin Ismayilova, Sakina Alekperova, Narmin Samedova and answered their questions.
The writer, who presented to the students her books “Qadın peyğəmbər” (Female Prophet), “Erkəklər” (Men) (in Turkish) and “The Woman” (in English), said that she had such a pleasant meeting and she compared its equivalency to reading a good work.
