On May 10, 2019, Professor Rustam Kamal, literary critic, essayist, Doctor of philological sciences, member of the Russian Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences, was a guest of the “Creative Writing” Lesson at Khazar University. After Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, instructor of the Department of Languages and Literature made an opening statement, student Sugra Aliyeva made a presentation on creativity of literary scholar. Following that the participants of the open lesson listened to a lecture by R.Kamal on “The method of plotline selection in Nasr work, the formation of plot selection instinct. The romance in the World and Azerbaijan”, which commenced with the following explanation of the characteristic of the comments “The lesson itself is a creative act. If it does not turn into a creative act, it is not a lesson.” At the same time, the guest answered the questions of the students - Sonakhanim Nagizade, Pinar Mammadzade, Farida Hasanli, Sadig Mirzayev and expressed his attitude towards the minimalist story entitled “Yanlış seçim” (“Wrong choice”) chosen by S.Aliyeva.
Lesson was concluded and literary scholar presented a book of philological essays, entitled “Güzgü günü” (“Mirror Day”) for students, who summarized the lesson in a vivid expression “Rustam Kamal delighted the audience of the Creative writing”, in fact the lesson turned into “Güzgü dərs” (“Mirror Lesson”).
