On May 21,2017, the teachers and students of the School of Education visited Gobustan- the cultural-historical monumental complex of Azerbaijan and the world. The visit was organized with Roza Arazova’s support Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, and Orkhan Zamanov’s initiative, the teacher of the department. The purpose of the visit was to develop the outlook and historical knowledge of the 1st year students majoring in History Teaching and provide their direct acquaintance with intangible cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, to organize effective recreation of teachers and students before the examinations and create opportunity for idea exchange.
The ancient caves of Boyukdash mountain, rock paintings, the bonfire and habitaion of ancient people, the uniqueness of the landscape were demonstrated to the students of Khazar University. Later, an extensive excursion to the newly created interactive museum was organized by the museum guide to provide information about petroglyphs of Azerbaijan and the world, their study and geography, the ancient climate and lanscape, the fauna and flora of the territory, the activity and life of the ancient people. The visit concluded with the short break time and entertaining games.
