On April 13, 2017, the semifinal of the project entitled "The Idea Platform of Foreign Youth and Students" organized by the Baku International Student Club took place at ADA University.
The goal of the project is to create a platform for international students and youth in Baku for expressing their views on topics of their interest. Twenty participants from 15 countries representing 9 universities delivered their speeches in front of the jury. Each participant had five minutes to deliver presentations which were evaluated by the jury on a 5-point scale. The jury consisted of the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, National Council of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, Baku City Circuit Operating Company, and local TV channels.
Two international students of Khazar University participated in the semifinal.
“The future lies in the hands of the younger generation” says Justin Bongwong, an MBA student from Cameroon, who delivered a presentation, entitled “The Young Generation as Leaders of Tomorrow”. Justin spoke about the importance of investing in youth, protecting children against war crisis, and building a society where the young generation can grow and achieve their dreams.
Michał Horbaczewski, a bachelor student from Kozminski University (Poland) who spends his exchange semester at Khazar University within the Erasmus + Programme, gave a presentation about youth entrepreneurship.
The final stage of the competition will be held on April 25, 2017. The winners of the first three places will be awarded with cash prizes.
"The Idea Platform of Foreign Youth and Students" project is financed by the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and is carried out with support of the Graduate Student Government of ADA University.
