From April 4 to 6, in Istanbul XX Eurasia Economy Summit was held with the participation of nearly 600 representatives from 44 countries, international organization members, presidents and ex-presidents of some countries. In the summit Khazar University Public Relation and Media director Alovsat Amirbeyli represented our university and was chosen the secretary of the summit.
Opening speech was delivered by the president of Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Center (Turkey), Dr. Akkan Suyer. General Secretary of Interparliamentary Assembly Black Sea Economic Relations, Asef Hajiyev, Mayor of Istanbul, Vasip Shahin represented their opening speech followingly. Honored guests; UN representative, Naser Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the president of Albania, Bujar Nishani, the president of Bosnia and Hersogovinia, Mladen Iyanich, the president ofTRNC ( Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), Mustafa Akinci, the president of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, Turkish Republic Deputy Prime Minister, Mehmet Shimshek greeted the participants and wished success for XX Eurasia Economy Summit. The chair of the Committee of Work with Diaspora, Nazim Ibrahimov read Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s letter of congratulation.
After the official opening ceremony sessions started and discussions were held. Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic, Valeh Alasgarov, Energy Minister, Natiq Aliyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Mubariz Gurbanli, Deputy head of the Caucasus Clerical Office, Salman Nuriyev delivered their speeches. In the summit, concerns were expressed related to world’s economic problems, war and refugees, and also appeals were made to UN and international organizations.
