On April 6, 2017, a meeting with Silvia Zimmerman del Castillo, Argentine writer and permanent collaborator at La Nación, was held at the office of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers. The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of Latin American countries to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani writers and people of art. Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, was also present at the meeting.
Silvia Zimmerman del Castillo gave a talk about Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges’s literary career. Prof. Isaxanli spoke about some aspects of Borges’ oeuvres – Sufi themes in his writings, his short story about Averroes (Ibn Rushd), and the psychological and philosophical dimensions of the story.
