On January 23-25, 2017, Sana Imran, Khazar University doctoral student, participated in an international conference held in Barcelona, Spain. The event was organized by the West East Institute of USA and attended by multinational scholars from across the globe. Representing Azerbaijan at this educational event, Sana Imran presented her research paper entitled “The Role of Brands in Strengthening of National Identity.”
In her talk, Ms. Imran touched upon the economic, trade and tourism potentials of Azerbaijan. Sana Imran laid stress on Azerbaijan’s strategic geographical location and sizeable hydrocarbon resources. Her focus remained on the analytical assessment of nations’ recognition through efficient proliferation of national brands – by employing soft power tools intelligently, brands can strengthen national identity.
