On December 28, 2016, a closing ceremony was held for the “Disabilities and Attitudes Toward Them” article contest which was held by the Center for Students with Disabilities of Khazar University and Khazar University Psychological Services Center. During the event, Rima Mammadova, project manager of the “Establishment of a Foundation for the Integration of Disabled People into HEIs of Azerbaijan” (ESFIDIP) TEMPUS project and coordinator of the Center for Students with Disabilities, made a presentation about the project and the Center. Melek Karimova, Director of the Psychological Services Center, spoke about disabilities, their characteristics and attitudes toward them. She also gave information to participants about the Khazar Psychological Services Center.
Then the top 8 winners of the article contest, which began in October, were announced. First place went to Samir Imanov, second place to Kamale Resulova, and third place to Elshan Daghlar.
At the end of the event, Samir Imanov spoke about the contest and the book he had written. Other participants in the event included representatives from partners in the “Establishment of a Foundation for the Integration of Disabled People into HEIs of Azerbaijan” (ESFIDIP) TEMPUS project including Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan State Economics University, Scientific Research and Training Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Azerbaijan Republic, Khazar University faculty and staff members, and other guests.
