On November 21 to 30, Dr. Irada Khalilova, Head of the Biology Department and Director of the Cell Pathology Research Center at Khazar University, performed research on mesenchyme stem cells becoming osteoblasts and the use of biomaterials along with dental tissue regeneration in the Faculty of Odontology’s Research Laboratory of Biology, Health and Nanoscience at Montpellier University in France as part of an Erasmus + mobility grant.
On November 29, 2016, Dr. Khalilova gave a lecture on “Oxidative stress biomarker research for early disease diagnostics” for staff members and researchers of the Laboratory. Participants in the seminar included Dr. Veronique Véronique Barragan-Montero, Dr. Pierre-Yves Collart-Dutilleul, Dr. Hamideh Salehi, other researchers and PhD students. The seminar concluded with interesting discussions. After the seminar, plans were made to establish partnership between the two universities and specifically to send samples to the Khazar University research laboratory for in vitro analysis of anti-inflammatory active components that were studied in the Faculty of Odontology Laboratory. During the visit, Dr. Xəlilova also participated in laboratory classes along with students of the same Faculty.
