On November 24, 2016, Dr. Azad Zeynalov, well-known archeologist of the Paleolithic age and researcher of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, met with first-and second-year students of the School of Education upon the initiative of the Department of History and Archeology. During the meeting, the guest taught the young historians about the history of research in Azerbaijan on the Paleolithic age, gave a lecture on monuments and archeological finds, and answered students’ questions. Khatira Yusifova, instructor for the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature, and Orkhan Zamanov, instructor for the Department of History and Archeology, also participated in the meeting.
The students were also given information about recent scientific research and archeological excavations in Azerbaijan.
