This academic year Khazar University participates in P2P: Challenging Extremism program, a global university youth initiative and an international competition supported by the U.S. Department of States, for the second time.
The team “For Peace” is comprised of both local and international students of the School of Economics and Management of Khazar University and is led by Ms. Laman Gayidova, marketing instructor, and includes eight students: Mohanad Abuhashish, Alex Takamgang Wose, Justin Berinyuy Bongwong, Aysu Jabraayilova, Svetlana Haciyeva, Baylar Hagverdi, Hasan Alili, Tamella Mahmudzada.
The team’s goal is to promote active participation in the fight against extremism. They connect to the world through solidarity for society’s misery through feelings of sensuality and intimacy. They say: “We share our passion for society with our hearts and not egoistic vanity, we share through the mind. We stand for narratives for change, storytelling for goodwill through our films that shall cast characters and roles in settings with elements of exposure and the way the narrative logic unfolds with a language of authenticity for change with voices, metaphors, and symbols for peace.”
