On November 3-5, 2016, Associate Professor Elnura Azizova, Head of the Department of Languages and Civilizations at Khazar University, participated in the III International Symposium of History and Culture of the Anatolia and Mediterranean Region focusing on the Ramazanogullar Beylik which took place in Adana with the joint coordination of Turkish History Board, Najmaddin Arbakan University, Chukurova University and Islamic Historians’ Circle. Elnura Azizova made a presentation at the symposium on the topic “Social/Cultural Life in the XV Century Anatolia Beyliks Through the Eyes of French Traveler Bertrandon de La Broquier: The Example of Ramazanoghullar.” During the symposium, Dr. Azizova also exchanged opinions with Professor Refik Turan, Head of Turkish History Board; Professor Mehmet Seker, Head of the Islamic Historians’ Circle; and others about jointly organizing international events.
