Turkish Master’s Student Visits Department of History and Archeology
On April 28, 2016, Sumeyra Turk, master’s student of Çankırı Karatekin University in Turkey, held an academic seminar with the Khazar University Department of History and Archeology. The seminar was entitled “Turkish-Arab Relations in the Middle Ages.” Participants in the meeting included Dr. Farda Asadov, Director of the Center for Eurasia and Middle East Studies; Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of the Department of History and Archeology; and Associate Professor Yegana Caglayan, instructor for the department. The seminar included a discussion about the importance of the history of Turkish-Arab relations as well as research carried out by Azerbaijani scholars. The participants also gave advice to Sumeyra Turk regarding her academic research.
