On April 28, 2016, a ceremony was held in the Marble Hall on Khazar University’s Neftchilar campus to present certificates to 64 trainees completing the Course for Potential School Directors. Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, opened the ceremony. He spoke about the significance of the course, noting that Khazar University is always ready to support the general education system and future school directors. Dr. Hasan Niknafs, President of the University, made a speech about the necessity for reforms in the education system. Certificates were handed out by Prof. Hamlet Isaxanli, Dr. Hasan Niknafs, and Vice Presidents Mahammad Nuriyev and Isakhan Isakhanli.
Nizami Fataliyev, Ali Mammadov and Aynura Museyibli made speeches on behalf of the graduates of the program to thank the project manager, Khazar University Development Director Raziya Isayeva, and the project coordinator, Dean of the School of Education Elza Samadova, as well as other coordinators of the course.
Khazar University Department of Music and Fine Arts gave a concert program for the event participants.
This training course for potential school directors, which was designed to support school administration reforms carried out by the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, has now completed its third iteration at Khazar University.
The main objective of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of school directors and educational workers interested in working as school directors in the future in accordance with the new education strategy and the educational reforms of the country as well as to introduce the participants to best practices from global experience in education.
During the three-month course participants made presentations, held discussions and had conversations. They stated that the course was very important for them and that they would apply their new practical skills and theoretical knowledge in their jobs.
