The School of Science and Engineering offers courses leading to the Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. Graduate degree programs can be completed in one and a half or two academic years for MS degrees, and in three or four academic years for Ph.D.s.
The School offers MS Degree Programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Petroleum Engineering.
Students entering the MS program normally are expected to have completed the requirements for the BS degree. Normally the BS degree is required for admission to the MS program.
The MS degree programs require 60 graduate credits, including 12 credits for the Master's thesis, and students must complete the major requirements with a G.P.A. of 75 or above.

The Ph.D. programs are designed to prepare students for advanced study and research. Students entering the Ph.D. program normally are expected to have completed the requirements for the Master's degree and to have demonstrated creative ability. Normally the MS degree is required for admission to the Ph.D. program.
Each doctoral candidate must pass a final oral examination/defense of his/her dissertation and demonstrate wide knowledge of the major field as well as the significance of the dissertation topic to his/her field of study.
