On February 25, 2020, the final Conference of the PAWER project was held with the participation of local and foreign universities. The Conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. The Conference began with a speech by Raziya Isayeva, Development Director at Khazar University. After the opening, Raziya Isayeva informed the participants of the Khojaly genocide and the victims of the Khojaly genocide were commemorated with a minute's silence. Then Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, welcomed the guests in her statement.
Parviz Bagirov, the Head of the National Erasmus+ Office of Azerbaijan, spoke about the PAWER project and expressed his gratitude to Khazar University.
At the Conference, which continued throughout the day, Anna Tozzi, Project Coordinator, Professor at L'aquila University delivered her speech. In her statement she said that she was proud to be the PAWER Project Coordinator. Anna Tozzi indicated that from the first day, they believed in the goals and objectives of the project. In conclusion, she noted that the PAWER project, which is aimed at internationalization and development of young people, is just the beginning for new generation.
Another representative of the University of L'aquila, Massimiliano D'innocenzo, gave final information about the work and stages of the PAWER project in 36 countries.
Further on, Razia Isayeva, Development Director, informed the participants about the education system, stages and the Bologna system at our universities. She spoke about the reforms that took place from 2005 to 2018.
After the tea break, Krzysztof Kafarsky, representative of the University of Vroslav, made a speech about the results of the project's quality assessment and informed the participants about seminar, trainings organized within the framework of the project, and their strengths and weaknesses.
Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, and Raziya Isayeva, Development Director, met with a representative of the Ministry of Education of Mongolia.
After the lunch break, representatives from Middlesex University George Dafoulas and Ariadni Tsiakara spoke about the overall evaluation and results of the project. They informed participants about the strengths and weaknesses of the PAWER SWOT analysis.
The Conference, which lasted until the evening, ended with dinner.

On October 8, 2019, Azerbaijan National Erasmus+ office conducted a monitoring of the Erasmus+ PAWER project, which is a partner of Khazar University and Baku Engineering University. During the monitoring, Skype meeting took place with Dr. Massimiliano D`Innocenzo and Dr. Marco Calabrese, the coordinators from the University of Laquila in Italy, the project coordinating University, and the coordinators provided extensive information on the project implementation and works delivered. Khazar University and Baku Engineering University staff members provided information on project implementation and progress and answered the monitoring committee's questions. The information and reports heard were considered satisfactory and the work done on the project was evaluated.

On March 1, 2019, the Internal Monitoring Meeting of the Erasmus+ PAWER project, which is the partner of Khazar University and Baku Engineering University, took place. Project monitoring was carried out by Krzysztof Kafarski and Anna Posadowska-Malarz, the employees of the partner organization Wrocław University. Representatives of Khazar University and Baku Engineering University made an extensive presentation on the project implementation and informed about the work carried out within the project and answered the questions of the monitoring commission. The information provided was considered satisfactory and the accomplished work within the project implementation was appreciated.
It should be noted that, along with project members from Khazar University and Baku Engineering University, the employee of the National Erasmus + office also took part in the monitoring session.

On October 19, 2018, within Erasmus+ project “Promoting Migration Studies in Higher Education” (PROMIG, 573554-EPP-1-2016-1-GE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) and on an organizational support of the School of Economics and Management, Center for Development, and Training Center, a one-day conference “Migration and sustainable development” was held at Khazar University.
Raziya Isayeva, Director of the Center for Development, provided information about Erasmus+ PAWER project (Paving the way to interregional mobility and ensuring relevance, quality and equity of access) to the participants. Khazar University is a partner university within the project.
The aim of the conference was to disseminate information about the project achievements. Representatives from Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Western Caspian University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan University of Cooperation, Baku Slavic University and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University also participated in the conference.

On October 5, 2018, a one-day regional conference was held within Khazar University Erasmus+ PAWER project. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Khazar University, Baku Engineering University, Georgian State University named after Ilia Chavchavadze, Akaki Tsereteli State University, Batumi State University and Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture of the Republic of Georgia were represented at the conference.
The conference started at 10:00 with the meeting of the partners. Azerbaijan University of Languages and Nakhchivan State University, along with partner universities - Khazar University, Baku Engineering University, and Georgian universities, were also represented at the meetings during which issues such as student mobility within Erasmus+ and other projects and credit recognition were discussed.
An official opening ceremony took place at 14:00 in the “Marble” hall of the University. Dr Hassan Niknafs delivered an opening speech. Then Assoc.Prof.Shahin Bayramov, an official of the Ministry of Education, greeted the guests and underlined the importance of PAWER project for universities of Azerbaijan. Then the speakers delivered presentations and discussed important issues.

On September 28, 2018, on an organizational support of Center for Development at Khazar University, a training on “International credit transfer and credit recognition procedure” was held within Erasmus+ PAWER project for the staff of University departments.
The aim of the training was to inform the attendees about the Bologna process, ECTS, student/teacher exchange contracts, support through and after exchange programs, exchange policy as well as essential issues related to student and teacher exchange programs and the role of Khazar University in this process. The training was attended by staff of various schools who expressed their opinions and criticism.

A meeting with heads of departments and potential researchers was held at Khazar University on June 29, 2018. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the scientific potential of departments, provide proposals on the ways of defining scientific research directions, promotion strategies of departments and researchers based on scientific research results. Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector for Research, opened the meeting and informed about the issues to be discussed. During the meeting, she also gave detailed information about NIZAMI, PAWER and PETRA projects, in which Khazar University acted as a partner university.

On March 16, 2017, Prof. George Gavtadze, the rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University, visited Khazar University and met with Khazar University president Dr. Hassan Niknafs. Turan Jafarova, Director of the International Affairs Office, was also present in the meeting. During the meeting, further development of partnership between Akaki Tsereteli State University and Khazar University, including the provision for various exchange programs and joint projects (seminars, conferences, and summer schools) was discussed.
The general agreement on academic cooperation between the two universities was signed in 2013. Since then, both universities participated in various joint projects (2012-2014: Student Support and Development Services, a TEMPUS project). Currently Khazar University and Akaki Tsereteli State University participate in two Erasmus + projects on capacity building: AESOP project (Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position) and PAWER project (Paving the Way to Interregional Mobility and Ensuring Relevance, Quality and Equity of Access).
The rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University is currently in Baku in connection with the kick-off meeting of the AESOP project mentioned above.
