Descriptive and applied art competition “Become modern palette of an ancient city" to be held

A project team of "City Art Azerbaijan" will organize a descriptive and applied art competition named "Modern palette of an ancient city".

The competition will be co-organized by Khazar University, the Council of Young Scholars and Experts of ANAS, the Institute of Architecture and Art of Azerbaijan, the National History Museum of Azerbaijan, Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve, Mirza Alakbar Sabir Foundation. The support of Khazar University considerably contributed to the development of "City Art" project. The aim of the project is to contribute to the implementation of objectives of "Development Strategy of Azerbaijani Youth in 2015-2025" and "Azerbaijani Youth in 2017-2021" State Program.

The exhibition will consist of trainings and practical work. The idea of the exhibition is to disseminate modern city art trends and fashion among the young generation.

Participants of the competition can realize their ideas by using any means (painting, graphics, sculpture, applied art, graffiti, "conceptual art", "photo art", "video art", "installation art", "art performance").

As a result of a four-stage project, the artefact of a winner will be demonstrated in a corner of the city. The runner-ups of the competition will also be awarded gifts and certificates. The winner will be awarded a special prize and diploma. Moreover, the artefact made by the winner will be publicly presented.

Artefacts are to be submitted to the following address from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekdays until March 11, 2019.
