Khazar University Teaching and Learning Centre will hold a virtual research seminar on “Student Engagement in Online Teaching”. The seminar will be presented on March 15, 2021, at 16:00 pm by the Prof. Dr. Salih Şahin, member of Gazi University (Turkey), Gazi Education Faculty.

Brief information about Prof. Dr. Salih Şahin:
Prof. Dr. Salih Şahin is a human geographer specializing in population, settlement and geography education at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. He is a graduate of Ankara University, and got his MA in 1993 and PhD in 1998 from Gazi University.
Şahin’s research relates to following issues: population geography, migration, human geography in Turkey and secondary school geography education. He is the author of 3 books and more than 30 research papers.
He is a member of the Turkish Secondary School Geography Curricula Board. He studied English language at Liverpool Hope University seventeen years ago and studied `Leadership and Management in Higher Education` in the Washington DC area 5 years ago. He is interested in using different kind of teaching methods, enjoys the fieldwork activity, travelling and singing Turkish folk songs.
